Local Beaches 

  • Padstow has many attractive beaches and coves to explore or take a speedboat trip from the harbour to view them. 

  • Rock is located on the eastern shore of the Camel Estuary across the water from Padstow. A short ferry ride can take you back and forth. 

  • Port Isaac is an attractive village built around the historic harbour which also serves as the beach. 

  • Port Quin beach is an unspoilt cove facing the Atlantic Ocean that sits in a deep rocky inlet between Port Isaac and Polzeath. 

  • Polzeath is one of the safest family beaches along this stretch of coast with seasonal lifeguard cover to enjoy the amazing surf here. 

  • Daymer Bay beach is within the mouth of the Camel Estuary so is pretty sheltered and has a gently sloping beach making it safe for swimming. Dogs allowed all year round. 

  • Harlyn is known for being a great family beach with rock pools and sand dunes. Dogs allowed all year round.

  • Circular walks around Port Isaac 

  • Port Gaverne to Barretts Zawn 

  • Port Quin to Port Isaac 

  • Port Quin to Lundy Bay

  • Lundy Bay walk, near New Polzeath 

  • The Coastal path around the Camel estuary is one of Cornwall's most well known areas, and the transition from the comparatively soft estuary to the wild rocks of Pentire Point is quite striking. 

  • Tintagel to Boscastle harbour

  • The coastal path is steep and strenuous but the views are well worth the effort.

Restaurants & Pubs 

Cornwall is renowned for having some of the top restaurants in the country hosted by Rick Stein, Nathan Outlaw, Paul Ainsworth to name just a few. Locally caught seafood, indulging Cornish Cream Teas or the mighty Cornish Pasty are readily available from nearby cafes or local country pubs - The Pickwick Inn, The Mariners, The Oyster Catcher, The Port Gaverne.
